Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the new academic year at Mangotsfield School.  It has been a pleasure to once again welcome students and their parent/carers into Year 7.  We also welcome our new sixth form students.  I am pleased to report that all students have made a great return to school and the new students are already settling in well.

We offer congratulations to our students in Year 11 who achieved the best ever Mangotsfield results this year, continuing the improving trend of recent years....

Mangotsfield School trip to Berlin - October 2010

Berlin Trip 2010
 

Departing Tuesday 19th October at 8pm for Folkestone to travel to Calais by Eurotunnel, arriving in Berlin on Wednesday afternoon.

Staying at the Pegasus Hotel where all rooms have ensuite facilities, breakfast and evening meals and a TV and hairdryer in every room!

What we're doing

The group will be visiting Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate, cruising the River Spree, visiting Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, shopping in the Ku'Damm, seeing "The Story of Berlin" exhibition the Potsdamer Platz and the Sony Centre, the East Side Gallery and the Belantis theme park where they can ride the Huracan - a 32 meter high, 85 kph, 800 people an hour, multi-looping theme ride that will turn you up-side-down 5 times with g-forces from -1.3G to + 5.5G (not compulsory).

Coming Home

Departure from Berlin at  7.15am to arrive back at mangotsfield School at Midnight on Monday 25th October.
