Hot Wheels Kit Car Team
We are the the Mangotsfield School kit car team named Hot Wheels. The Hot Wheels car is environmentally friendly and powered by rechargeable batteries. The starter kit was supplied to us by Air Bus (www.airbus.com) and we race in the green power (www.greenpower.co.uk) Formula 24 category. The races, organised by South Gloucestershire Council, the Learning Skills Council and the Children's Fund, work to encourage the bond between parent and child and develop young students' knowledge of engineering and technology.

The Hot Wheels team has been working on it's first car for 2 years and, now we have passed on our finished first model to the newcomers, we are ready to start afresh. Our sponsors (Quality Tyre Services, Park Cycles, Yuasa and Crown Conveyors) have been very helpful. Here I would like to take the time to appeal to anyone else who maybe interested. We are planning to perfect the design. Currently we are replacing the wheels and thinking of using a carbon-fibre chassis.
