Kirkland and Rowell - Parents' Survey 2010

Kirkland & Rowell

We value the contribution parents make to improving provision in school and the way in which parents work with us in the care and education of their children.

The new survey of parental perception of the school will help inform school planning for the coming year.

As in 2009, we are pleased that many positive comments have come though this survey and that many aspects of the school are rated above the National Average.  Priorities identified by parents still parallel many of those the school are already aware of.

Last year the Personal Development Curriculum (PDC) was planned in order to increase the level of responsibility taken by students in their own learning.  Ideas from PDC are being used to increase challenge to students across all subjects.

Departments have worked to develop homework provision and access to home learning has been further developed through the school website and further improvements will be made.
