confidence, helping prepare you for university and employment interviews and opportunities.
As part of the support we offer, you will be allocated a personal tutor who will work with you to support
you to research and plan for your futures. Your tutor is there to help you settle in at the start of term and
act as a central point for contact throughout the academic year. Tutors meet 3 times a week with their
tutor group to track progress, and to provide careers advice and guidance. They will also carry out regular
academic mentoring meetings with you to ensure you are getting the necessary support.
Our specialised sixth form learning mentor provides academic support, careers guidance and pastoral
care and guidance. Mentoring will be given if you are identified as needing extra academic support from
your progress reviews.

In Sixth Form we think it is important that you develop good independent study skills quickly. We will
support you at the start of the year to develop your independent study skills and get you into good habits.
Guest Speaker Programme
You will have fortnightly assemblies where a range of external speakers will deliver information regarding
our Sixth Form termly focus. This gives you an opportunity to find out about a variety of careers and

During year 12 all students take part in the enrichment programme on a Wednesday afternoon. This is a
chance for you to do something different and that will hopefully develop skills and knowledge to help you
boost your UCAS application and CV. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as adopt a
teacher, sport for all, cookery classes or a community service programme.
