50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

Rodway School opened in 1957 as one of the new Secondary Technical Schools with 340 students.  In 1982 Rodway amalgamated with Chase School for Boys and became Mangotsfield School.  For fourteen years Mangotsfield School ran on a split site, but in 1996 came the very welcome move to a single site.  On September 1st 2004 the School became a Specialist College in Engineering and Science.  Over the last four years the Local Authority has funded a £6.5 million building programme to accommodate the School’s expansion to an eight-form entry, to provide for over 1300 students by 2009.
