Modern Foreign Languages

Why do we study Modern Foreign Languages?

Learning a foreign language provides freedom from insularity and at Mangotsfield School, our dedicated and passionate team of MFL teachers aim to foster students’ curiosity and deepen their understanding of the global community through our broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum. Students will develop a love of learning through our engaging lessons where they are encouraged to take risks and embrace the challenge of learning a new language. The department also provides opportunities for cultural exploration, enabling the students to step beyond the familiar boundaries and develop a new found respect for the wider world.
